Booked a guided tour for fly fishing with Travis Hanson a few days ago. I’ve worked with guides for fly fishing before, but I found his knowledge of not only the techniques needed for the streams we were using, but the questions posed about why certain flies were used, the conditions, and ensuring my goals for the experience were met, were not comparable. He truly loves what he does and it shows. He arrived early, prepared, and enthusiastic. All the details were covered! Travis worked hard to ensure my goals for the day were met. He’s personable, patient, and knowledgeable.

I was lucky enough to get paired up with Travis Hanson for a guided trip in nearby waters, and I couldn't have asked for a better mentor for the day! Travis is an experienced fly fisherman and an excellent teacher. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day enjoying Colorado's rugged beauty and wild trout!

I had an amazing day on the Eagle River with Adam—one of the best guided experiences I've ever had!
Before this trip, I had been fly fishing for a few years and felt like I had hit a plateau, not making much progress on my own. Within just the first hour or two, Adam quickly pinpointed areas where I could improve and shared valuable tips on technique and tactics that really changed the game for me. Both my friend and I caught some great-sized browns and rainbows, and I even landed a personal best!
I highly recommend this shop for guided trips, gear, and expert knowledge.

My son and I did a full day guided trip with Travis Hanson. He was fantastic. Knowledgeable, patient (it was our first time fly fishing), and great energy. Can't recommend enough. They supplied lunch and all the fishing gear, but I recommend bringing a backpack with supplies (extra water, sunscreen).
