May 12th 2026
The Dream Stream is moving out of its low-flow technical grind and into a more interesting May window. Higher releases should put more water in the channel, improve holding options, and make some fish less glued to the bottom. The tradeoff is volatility: flows, clarity, and fish positioning can change as the Antero release water works through the system.
This is still not a place to fish loud, heavy rigs unless conditions demand it. The best approach is to read the water in front of you, stay subtle in the long glides, and only add weight when fish are clearly pinned in deeper troughs.
